Every year in early March we tap the
sugar maple trees in and around
Bainbridge, NY. We hang about 500 buckets and string up to 4000 taps on
plastic sap tubing.
In the average season we collect sap every day that it
runs, 10 to 20 days in all from the buckets and the 70 or so tanks
around the country side that are fed by over 20 miles of sap tubing.
